Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Oatmeal
2-1/2 c. Flour
1 T. Sugar
1 c. Shortening
1 tsp. Salt
1 Egg Yolk (save egg white)
2/3 c. Milk
Apple Pie Filling
Glaze:
2 T. Milk
1 c. Powdered Sugar
1 T. Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
Blend flour, sugar, shortening and salt. Add egg yolk and milk. Roll dough out onto floured surface. Sprinkle 2 handfuls of oatmeal to cover dough. Spoon apple pie filling onto half of the dough leaving 1/2 inch lip around edge of crust. Sprinkle filling with cinnamon and sugar. Fold over other half of crust on top of filling. Seal edges. Beat egg white until foamy and spread over crust. Slit top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Spread with glaze while still hot.
