Buttermilk Syrup

(It will bubble A LOT so use a big pan.)

1 c. Butter
3/4 c. Sugar
1 T. Karo Syrup

Melt together and bring to a boil, then add:
1/2 c. Buttermilk*
1 tsp. Vanilla

Bring to a boil again and then add:
2 tsp. Baking Soda

*Can substitute for 1/2 tsp. lemon juice and 1/2 c. regular milk.
